On March 10, 2012, Canadian World Cup Ski-Cross racer and medalist, Nik Zoricic, needlessly died during a fall at the finish line of a World Cup race held at Grindelwald, Switzerland. Many have characterized Nik’s death as a “freak” accident. Such a characterization distorts the truth and does a serious disservice to Nik. A more informed and honest discussion is needed. The real facts leading to Nik’s death will be fully discussed at Wednesday’s news conference.
Attending at the news conference will be Nik’s father and mother, Bebe Zoricic and Silvia Brudar and their counsel, Timothy Danson, to discuss this matter and the initiatives which the Zoricic family feels are essential to avoid such tragedies in the future. Bebe and Silvia will answer questions.
